Hartlepool was originally two different towns; there was the ancient Old Hartlepool, known as the Headland and the newer West Hartlepool. They amalgamated in just 1967 to form what is now known as Hartlepool.
Today, Hartlepool hosts a variety of tourist attractions including Hartlepool Marina, Hartlepool Art Gallery, Hartlepool Waterfront and more.
